Cows also need freedom to graze around in open

In my childhood, I observed that herdsman used to take herd of cows every day in morning and returns in evening after grazing them in nearby open fields.

As part of our concerns to ensure freedom for all living being, in particular cows so that they can live and enjoy life in their own natural ways, we decided to create two separate plots (one at Leela-Mona Gaushala with fencing of decorative colourful cool lighting and second in mango orchard with barbed wire fencing) in SCA Vatika exclusively for cows to graze around freely in open without any restrictions of time and space.

In addition, a new variety of grass fodder (Natural Stylo Hamata) is planted which is rich in protein as well as more nutritious and delicious.

As can be seen in photos, natural stylo hamata grass is growing up very well and becoming denser too.

As a result of natural grazing in open with full freedom:

  • Currently milk is more creamy and milk production is nearly doubled

  • Our two more cows (Durga and Syama) are healthier and on the way to give birth of babies

  • Leela-Mona Gaushala has cattle named Ramu, Shyama, Rameti, Durga, Nandi, Ganesh, Narmada, Surbhi, Kapila and Nandini
