Eventful Rabi Season 2020 at SCA Vatika

The Rabi season of 2019-20 is eventful in India where crops are damaged by unseasonal rain and hailstorm which further turned into horrific tragedy by COVID-19 pandemic worldwide.

Younger farmers who left farming in favour of working in cities have lost jobs in cities due to unavoidable nationwide LOCKDOWN to fight COVID-19. The situations in months ahead look alarming and more challenging to sustain normal livings at all levels. The ways we used to live life so far already became a history now. Everyone needs to tolerate hardships and no easy solutions are foreseen in immediate future.

Under the situations, farmers must become self-reliant rather than fearing COVID-19. This Kharif season gives opportunities for better planning of Kharif crops as first step to become self-reliant rather than keep getting sentimentally exploited by the wasted interests in disguise of helping them. Any kind of help other than skill development in farming would surely miss the amazing opportunities offered by the Nature in this Kharif season 2020.

The farmers already have sufficient knowledge and skills to make the best of Kharif season 2020. SCAIE advise them to plan and act on their own with whatever skills and limited resources they have rather than drifting away in hopes to get external helps of any kind.

For practical guidance and tips about how to plan and better organised by own-self, SCAIE would like to share practical and successful experience of SCA VATIKA of Rabi season 2019-20 through the film “Eventful Rabi Season 2020 at SCA Vatika”.

This film documented the inspiring and creative life getting better and better at SCA Vatika by strictly following all the guidelines and all the restrictions of Nationwide LOCKDOWN to fight COVID-19 pandemic. In the film, the following events with meaningful music are covered:

  1. Bumper Rabi crops of wheat and Chana with Holistic Farming

  2. SCA Vatika became Self-reliant for Cattle fodder all through the summer and for full year

  3. Cherished memories (यादें) of Leelaben, the eldest sister of Suresh Gorana who left us on 27 March 2020 due to cardiac arrest

  4. Hanuman Jayanti YAGYA (यज्ञ) at SCA Vatika in memories of Leelaben

  5. NITI, the granddaughter of Suresh Gorana born on 19 March 2020 and celebration at SCA Vatika

  6. Walk around the Fruits Orchard of SCA Vatika

  7. Making of Creeper-Vegetables’ new loft (बेल सब्जियों का मंडप)

  8. Pooja and Prayer of Nature at SCA Vatika to bless and relieve the mankind from COVID-19 pandemic at the earliest.

This film could become guidelines to plan and live self-reliant life with dignity, positivity, and fulfilling one’s primary duty of helping the society and thereby making New World A better place for generations to come.
