It’s never too late for the determined mind and kind heart to devote the self for the purposeful living and enjoy life to the fullest extent.
I am 70+, healthy and relaxed. I feel younger by devoting my time of 12 hours daily for the “Mission to revive Farming” and practicing farming by myself working in the farm to inspire youngsters that farming still remains the best profession to choose as their vibrant career.
May be “Mass Movement” is required nationwide and worldwide before it becomes too late, to develop younger farmers to adopt farming in comforts of own homes in their villages rather than migrating to the cities searching jobs.
Worldwide concerns for the Food Security are real and are alarming now. At present, the farming remains the most effective way or rather the only way to ensure food security for the mankind.
Unfortunately, younger and educated farmers prefer working in cities and leaving farming since they find farming is loss making mainly due to expensive farm laborers and scarcity of water for irrigation which further worsened due to irregularities of monsoon during farming seasons. Under the situations, the task of inspiring younger farmers to return to their villages and adopt farming is too huge and almost impossible by offering them financial helps like many kinds of subsidies, loans waiver, crops insurance, etc. by the governments.
Various efforts made to impress younger farmers to adopt farming with government supports in schemes for Organic farming or ZERO Budget Natural farming could not get the desired success yet mainly because both are more labour intensive and lower crops yielding compared to the well accepted Modern farming using chemical fertilizers and farm implements.
