Below is a mango tree grown big like a natural mango tree of my childhood days when we used to get mangoes only by throwing stones. This tree is actually be converted from the initial hybrid variety.
In this season mangoes crop is only 60% at SCA Vatika since majority mangoes are prematurely fallen down due to heavy wind and cloudy climate. Mangoes will be matured and ready in next 10 days.
There are 12 varieties of mangoes and all were growing so well that they are not damaged due to heavy wind but prematurely fallen down. We are eating raw mangoes in plenty by way of salad, Chutney, daily achar (not for storage but for daily consumption), Sarabat, etc.
Hybrid varieties need to be converted to natural varieties for healthy food. It’s possible to do so for all types of crops, vegetables and fruits through Holistic farming. GM (genetically modified) hybrid varieties are good for business but natural varieties are going to be the future and the best fetching premium to increase farmers income manifolds provided we have patience and determinations rather than boarding a fast-moving train in haste. At SCA VATIKA, we have patience, determinations and meticulous planning to bring back the golden era that seems is lost like in many spheres of life as well.
